ArtSlam

Journal Entry: Fri May 29, 2009, 11:43 PM
Ahoy! :ahoy:

Like the new background? I was going for a bit of a chaotic feel, tearing apart my alone series. I hope it's still easily readable...

Anyways through :iconkalamu:'s Journal, I discovered this [link] .... Artslam which is a community that as of June 1st will be drawing a concept sketch everyday for the next 3 months. I'm pretty excited.

I'm going to be developing 2 concepts, one of which is Tuesday and his world/story. The other being a steam-punk world I created as a storyboarding task for tafe. Here's the description I gave for each...

1. A story I wrote for my course (Certificate 4 in Games Development) set in an undeveloped steam-punk world where the protagonist owns a flying pirate ship and searches for the means to revive his dead wife, but he falls in love with a crew mate, yaddah yaddah and a bunch of other stuff. Anyway, I've already drawn a 60+ page storyboard which covers 3 separate scenes along the story and would like to fill in the gaps to one day even be fully animated into a short film. I also wouldn't mind constructing a few story arch's within this world.

2. A vast desolate post apocalyptic suburbian setting regained by nature. The protagonist being the personification of myself, my OC 'Tuesday', a blind man (you can see art of Tuesday in my DA gallery), searching for a woman who goes by the name Luciana (Light) who he dreams of very vividly.

My username is 48Tuesdays on livejournal (scoring me first place in alphabetical order of the artslam participants and tag list :P). Here's the link to my journal page [link]

Feel free to join up to artslam, it's gonna be rockin'!

Yo me hearties

Ahoy! :ahoy:

Ahoy guys n gals,

Sorry I've been a bit dead lately, tafe's just been taking up all my time. But hey, on the plus side I've just finished a few major projects and you're gonna be lucky enough to see it all in the near future. Just a heads up that I'll be swamped with tafe for at least another month or so, but I'm sure I'll get some other stuff done now and then in the meantime.

Like...

-I've planned to develop my style a bit more and I'm going to be doing many upon many (hopefully) profile pictures of both real and fake people.
-Some more concept art type stuff centered around characters I've designed predominately, and I'm hoping to through in a few landscapes/environment here and there which I keep telling myself to do and really haven't done enough of.
-Continue on with the current Alone series, it needs a bit of dusting off with some new material, it needed a bit of a rest though, was getting a tad samey.
-I'd also very much like to get back into doing Comic pages. I keep getting all these ideas for them but they never get realized.
-Also possibly some animation shorts, cos I've kinda noticed how much I've missed it since we started doing it in class last week. However, it's highly unlikely I'll have any time at all to get any animating done, but, you might get the privilege of seeing some of my school stuff if it's good enough.
-Oh yeh and maybe I'll update this css sometime

Well anyway that's the end of my little spiel

God Bless

Keepin' in Touch

Ahoy! :ahoy:

Hey there everybody.

Seems everyone's liking the alone series which is GREAT, however as much as I want to work on it everyday all the time, it'll have to go on a little bit of a hiatus on the account of the masses of homework I have to get done, and soon.

Speaking of tafe work. Would you guys like to see some? I'm a bit hesitant of posting it on here, but I dunno, guess it wouldn't hurt. I do try to keep my DA pretty strictly to personal stuff, rather than the meaningless amounts of crap I make at school, but I'm passionate about some of the stuff (particularly this storyboard I'm doing), but it's just that it's really random and 90% is just development and all that. So anyway gimme a buzz and tell me what you think, eh?

I'm getting kinda bored of this CSS so I might jazz it up a bit, it's looking messy.

Oh, and I had one of the best weekends ever! I went on Easter Camp, the greatest time of every year. It was amazing (as usual); praising God, learning about him, reading the bible and having just about the best darn time with a bunch of like minded Christians. Gee, do I wish it would last forever, but it doesn't and the real world sucks, but ANYHOW, it was awesome and I'm bright and inspired from it. So, the good news for you peeps is that you'll see some decent stuff coming out of me in the times that homework isn't such a burden, as I flourish in the holy spirit and God's gift to me as an artist.

AND you should all check out :iconstoneflower-waya:, cos she's the awesomest!

Post-Script: I'm doing a 'Certificate 4 in Games Development' for the record.

God Bless

10,000 and a subscription

Journal Entry: Fri Jan 16, 2009, 9:55 PM
Ahoy! :ahoy:

Hey there everybody.

I finally got my 10,000 pageviews wooo (Ok so it happened on like Monday, I'm just a bit slow). But anyways thank you everyone for the love and support. It's also coming up to my 4th year as a Deviant and I know a few of you have been watching me for many years, just like to say thank you for sticking by and are still active to me today :)

ALSO...
I randomly received a Subscription today, and I didn't receive an email as to who it was from or how I got it. So if it was you who gave it to me I'd just like to shout out a big thank you for your grace and generosity

So since I am now in possession of this subscription, I figured I'd put it right to work and coded my journal :) Guess I'll have to post more now then, just to make use of it ;)

Well lately I've been trying to pump out about 1 piece a day and been going pretty good I reckon so stay tuned cos there's lots more to come ;)

God Bless
